Commit30 Planner

We are so excited to share our latest “#PlannerCRUSH” with you! In this series we share the planning style of someone in our community that we just can’t get enough of. We are talking about saving all the IG posts, scrolling the reels feed and binge watching all the PWMs. Each time, we will feature a clue along with a few planner pics to see if you can recognize our #plannercrush?  Here goes:

CLUE: Fun and functional….

ANSWER: Renee @planningmama

Like most planner girls, Renée always loved paper planning and all things stationery. But in 2015, she stumbled upon the planner world on Instagram and found a community with similar interests and hobbies. Planning has always been a source of creativity but also a great source of calm for Renée. Having a place to put everything down on paper brings a sense of peace and helps quiet her mind. Tackling “all the things” seems easier once they are planned out and she can see it all on paper.

Renée likes planning in a weekly spread with plenty of space for appointments, tasks, notes, chores, habits and goals. Her planner of choice, at the moment, is an Commit30 standard size (A5 bookbound) with a Monday start. She prefers bookbound planners rather than a rings, discs or traveler's notebooks, because she can see a lot more without having to flip to different sections where things can get lost, overlooked or forgotten.

Some of Renée’s favorite planning essentials include a variety of different pens (which can change frequently) Mildliners for color coding, decorative stickers and coordinating Tombow markers, colorful sticky notes and page flags.

Renée’s planning style is a perfect example of having fun with function. She has been able to adapt a system that not only works for her but also allows her to be creative. Once a month, she sits down to decorate the upcoming month which gives her time to make any big events more memorable and stand out with stickers plus have cute pages that she can enjoy flipping to. She will also add more decor in realtime as well as go back and add additional stickers or pictures to make the weeks look more complete.
